Manipulated digital images
This project was done at a time when Facebook was very popular and people were openly sharing intimate images from their lives without necessarily considering issues of privacy or the use of their personal data by corporations. I began collecting and manipulating multiple images to create new images of people who never met, of memories that never happened, as the people in the images were only connected to each other because of their personal connection to me. I uploaded the new images back onto the platform and tagged the authors of the original images, connecting them without their consent.
